EVERSON — Jon Burnside is no stranger to success.
Saturday morning, playing in his first golf tournament of the summer, the former Fairmont State University standout fought foul weather conditions early on and fired a four-under par 66 to claim the lead after one round of the annual Green Hills-Homer Delovich Memorial Golf Championship here at the par-70 Green Hills Country Club.
Dylan Alasky is alone in second place after the first round. Alasky carded an opening-round three-under-par 67.
Following Alasky are Mike Revak, who finished with a two-under 68 and Jeff Nehls, who ended up with a one-under 69.
