FAIRMONT — Josh Weekley of West Union was the winner of the Run-to-Read 15K race here Saturday morning while Patrick Stanton of Fairmont placed first in the 5K run.
Periods of hard rain fell during both races and the elements caused some problems with the timing system.
The 36-year-old Weekley won the 15K with a time of 58:09.4 and he averaged 6:15 per mile.
Finishing second in the 15K was Florian Barbe from Auburn Hills, Mich. Rounding out the top 10 were William Hunter of Morgantown, Jackie Rzepecki, Greg Edgell, Dale Childs, Ted Morton of Fairmont, Michael Peters of Falling Water and Joey Herron of Fairmont.
