FAIRMONT — Two separate vehicle accidents Friday resulted in the transport of two patients to local hospitals with minor injuries.
A dispatcher for Marion County Central Communications said the first accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Smithtown Road one mile past the White Day Golf Course over the Monongalia County line.
It was one vehicle on its side and emergency officials from both Marion and Monongalia counties responded to the scene.
The one occupant of the vehicle was transported to Mon General Hospital with minor injuries, a dispatcher from the Mon County Emergency Centralized Communication Center said.
The second accident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Bessie Ann Hill in Marion County between Idamay and Farmington, the Marion County dispatcher said.
Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, and one patient was transported by ambulance to Fairmont General Hospital. The dispatcher said the injuries were not life-threatening.
