FAIRMONT —
Amanda Jo “Mandy” Barker, the former freshman cheerleading coach at North Marion High School arrested by West Virginia State Police on three counts of child sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust, waived her right to a preliminary hearing in Marion County Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
According to the criminal complaint filed at magistrate court, Barker, 32, was arrested Oct. 23 by the West Virginia State Police for allegedly having performed oral sex on a 16-year-old male student in her home three separate times during the winter last school year.
All incidents allegedly took place in the living room of her home.
Since then, she has been terminated from her position as compensated volunteer at the school.
