FAIRMONT — A Grant Town postal employee accused last month of making threatening statements about customers and showing a pistol to a witness at the post office waived a preliminary hearing in Marion County Magistrate Court earlier this week.
Grant Town resident David Kenneth Mazure, 31, has been officially charged with making terroristic threats, a felony, for the March 20 incident.
Marion Prosecutor Jeff Freeman said he believes Mazure has been suspended from his job at the post office and that there are “employment disciplinary proceedings” in the works, but that the outcome of the investigation is not yet determined.
He said a worker from the postal inspector’s office was prepared to testify if a preliminary hearing was held.
