(Editor’s note: This is the next in a series about “My Favorite Teacher.”)
Imagine you’ve been away from Fairmont for eight years and you receive a telephone call from your hometown newspaper. The newspaper wants to do a feature about you and your teaching career.
That’s the surprise Judy Mullennex, who now lives in Florida, received the other day. She was connected once again to Fairmont.
It seemed to be something she enjoyed.
Her husband John was a State Farm Insurance agent for many years and they were among Fairmont’s more popular couples.
She was also the “favorite teacher” of many local students.

Hearing set for murder suspects
The two men indicted in the 1974 triple Windmill Park murders will share a pretrial hearing on June 25.
According to records obtained at the Marion County Circuit Court, a hearing for Eddie Jack Washington and Phillip Reese Bush is set for 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in front of Circuit Judge Michael Aloi. -
