FAIRMONT — The county’s future day report center has officially found a temporary home.
Commissioners voted Wednesday to lease the third floor of the former law tower on Adams Street, located in close proximity to the courthouse and next to the building that houses the Marion County Historical Society Museum, to house this center, which will serve as an alternate sentencing option for non-violent criminal offenders.
“It will serve the purpose of the day report center until we find room on our own property,” Commission President Randy Elliott said of the property. “There is space and plenty of room to operate.”
