FAIRMONT — It was a holly jolly Tuesday at Barnes Learning Center as students, staff and community members held their annual concert.
It wasn’t your standard holiday concert with a choir or symphonic band. No, it was a holiday rock concert. There were accordion players singing some traditional Italian songs as well.
The sweet sounds of electric guitar and some rockin’ drums floated all the way out to the street as students filled the auditorium. It was so much fun, even Santa took a break from his holiday preparations to visit Barnes and dance along to the music.
Principal Travus Oates said it’s all part of the school’s positive behavior support program, which rewards students for doing good things.
