FAIRMONT — A statewide initiative to expand early voting will have to wait until at least after the primaries to become a part of Marion County elections.
County Clerk Janice Cosco said she and the commissioners have decided that it would be too costly to set up satellite voting sites for the upcoming primary election in May, but that they plan to look into the idea for the November general election.
“The commissioners and I decided that we were not going to do satellite voting in the primary, but we are still open to the general election,” she said.
