FAIRMONT — Snow-slickened roads caused numerous accidents Saturday morning into the early afternoon and then again in the evening, but none were very serious, according to Marion County Central Communications.

“It started around 8:30 a.m. and ended about an hour ago,” a dispatcher said at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

A few of the accidents took place on Interstate 79, the dispatcher said, but no one was transported to the hospital.

“Some of them were rollovers but no one was injured or anything.”

Also, no major traffic tie-ups resulted from the snow, “other than those caused by the weather.”
