BARRACKVILLE — The streets of the town will be filled with Christmas cheer today for the annual Barrackville Christmas in Our Town celebration.
For many years, the town has gone all-out to celebrate the holiday season with a whole lot of fun, from food sales and informational displays, to the annual parade. It’s so much fun St. Nick takes a break from preparing for the biggest day of the year to come down and brings Mrs. Claus along.
Just like every year, Barrackville School plays a big role in the festivities. This year, almost every child will participate in the day in some way.
“Christmas brings out the child in all of us, and children are a big part of Barrackville’s Christmas in Our Town celebration,” principal Kevin Haugh said. “Each year our students participate in many of the scheduled activities including the grand parade down Pike Street.”
