FAIRMONT — Barbara Walters, look out. Ten-year-old television news sensation Leah Michael may be gunning for your job in the years to come.
This fourth-grader already has spots as a correspondent for WDTV and the CW Network.
“Being on television is really fun and it is a great opportunity for me to show the talent that I have and what I like to do,” Michael said. “I report on family, friends and what I do. It’s fun.”
Michael competed against throngs of other would-be young anchors to win a spot as a correspondent for WDTV in August. She won a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond courtesy of La Neve Law Offices, and several other prizes.
