Conference attracts ‘diverse group’

Entrepreneurs, researchers among those in attendance

MORGANTOWN — Approximately 200 people have gathered in Morgantown to learn about the many benefits of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Innovative Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs.

The 2009 Mid-Atlantic SBIR/STTR Conference started Monday and concludes today at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown. The West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation’s INNOVA Commercialization Group and the West Virginia Development Office are hosting the event.

“We’re very pleased to be partnered with the West Virginia Development Office,” Jim Estep, president and CEO of the WVHTC Foundation, said Tuesday.
