Anderson trial to be continued in February
FAIRMONT — The lack of a steady co-counsel for defense attorney Harry Montoro has forced the Dec. 9 trial of a Farmington man accused of murdering his infant son to be continued once again in Marion County Circuit Court.
Jason Clay Anderson, 20, is charged with murder by a parent or guardian for the death of his 11-week-old son, Jason Clay Clark Anderson, in June of 2007 and will now be scheduled to stand trial during the February term of court following a ruling by Judge David R. Janes Tuesday.
Montoro informed Judge Janes that he would not be able to move forward with the trial on Dec. 9 because his co-counsel has changed several times since he took over the case earlier this year. He said his current co-counsel has only been on the case a short amount of time and has not had ample opportunity to prepare for the trial.
