FAIRMONT — The Christmas Toy Shop is now just over a week away, and more toys — and volunteers — are still needed.
The Christmas Toy Shop giveaway is scheduled for a week from Friday. It is planned for needy Marion County families for whom the economy has been pretty rough this year.
“We want to make this a nice day for ‘shoppers,’” said the Rev. James Saunders. “While we have a good supply of toys, I think we will probably need even more. We have no idea how many people will be here next Friday. And that day is sneaking up on us.”
