City fire truck listed on eBay

Other vehicles, surplus items that have been replaced are being sold

FAIRMONT — Want to buy a fire truck for Christmas?

The large yellow truck comes complete with lights and sirens. Firefighters not included.

“It runs fine, sirens still work, pumps still work — a good Christmas gift,” said Fairmont Fire Chief Roger Wilson.

City Hall is selling the truck along with other vehicles and surplus items that have been replaced and are no longer in use.

The opening bid for the truck listed on eBay is $5,000. Circa 1976, the truck has about 23,000 miles on it.
