FAIRMONT — Buck Blagg has always worked.
That’s just the kind of man he is.
And much of the time, he’s helping out other people.
“I still work a couple of days a week,” he says. “I do electrical work, plumbing, air conditioning, things like that.”
And he enjoys helping people.
“I guess I got it from what my father said early in my life. If another person has no need for you, they can’t use you,” he said. “So I kind of lived with that. I’m available. I try to help many people. And I just never knew how to charge for things. I just usually say, ‘Naw, that’s all right. You don’t have to pay.’”
Buck’s availability and willingness to help others has made him Marion County’s “Everyday Hero” for this week.
