FAIRMONT — A vehicle accident in Farmington Saturday resulted in two patients being life-flighted to Morgantown with unknown injuries.

A Marion County dispatcher said a call came in at around 9 a.m. Saturday for crews to respond to a one-vehicle accident with entrapment to Plum Run Road. When first responders arrived on scene, they found a passenger vehicle in a shallow creek with two passengers trapped in the car. The vehicle was believed to be a Chevrolet Cobalt.

Upon extracting the passengers from the vehicle, both were sent by helicopter, which landed at the Plum Run Fairgrounds, to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

The patients’ conditions were unknown as of Saturday evening.

Responders included the Farmington Fire Department, Mannington Fire Department rescue truck and the Marion County Rescue Squad, the dispatcher said.
