ENTERPRISE — Construction crews are replacing a bridge across Mudlick Run near the West Fork River.

During the past week, an enormous concrete archway has been put in place by a crane so tall that astronauts could probably see it from space.

Dan Talbott, director of the Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission, said the bridge will be 42 feet across with an archway of 12 feet at its highest point.

When the concrete portion of the bridge is in place, it will be covered with layers of dirt and gravel like that used on the 14 miles of the West Fork River Trail that connects Shinnston to Fairmont.
