Motorcycle accident victim identified

Adam Harper killed in Sunday collision

FAIRMONT — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of a man killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday.

Deputy J. Bledsoe said Adam C. Harper, 21, of Fairmont, was killed after his motorcycle collided with a car around 3 p.m. in front of the entrance ramp onto Interstate 79 north. Harper died at the scene.

Pleasant Valley Fire Chief Donald Mundell said the people inside the car were able to leave the vehicle before it caught on fire.

Bledsoe said two women and a juvenile inside the car were taken to area hospitals. He said the juvenile and one woman have been released from the hospital, while the other woman is in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

    Ministers Run Water Association will receive a $20,000 no-interest loan to be paid back when it’s feasible for the association. Funding will be provided through Coal Severance.
