FAIRMONT — Students in Marion County Schools will continue to be vaccinated against the H1N1 (swine) flu virus Monday and beyond, and the Marion County Health Department will hold two more clinics this week in order to inoculate members of designated high-risk groups.
In a coordinated effort among the school system, the health department and the Monongahela Valley Associates of Health Centers MVA Fairmont Clinic, nurses gave injections to students at all three county high schools before efforts turned late last week to schools furthest away from Fairmont.
“Yesterday we did Blackshere Elementary and Mannington Middle and today we are doing Fairview Elementary, Fairview Middle and Barnes Alternative Center,” Gary L. Price, assistant superintendent of Marion County Schools, said last week.
