FAIRMONT — Gov. Joe Manchin’s office announced grant awards Friday that will help Marion County in various ways.
First, Manchin’s office announced $6.3 million in grants made possible by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Statewide, 26 communities received funding.

Bish said much of the credit goes to Councilman Gary Boyles, who, when he heard about the president’s stimulus package, began looking for ways to get money for the city’s ongoing sidewalk projects.
