FAIRMONT — Although some physician offices have a supply of seasonal flu vaccine, the Marion County Health Department has not received its shipment yet.
However, a flu shot clinic will be held at the Mannington Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and anyone can line up to be inoculated against the seasonal flu.
“I’ll have more than plenty,” said Lou McNeill, a registered medical assistant in the office of Dr. Edwin J. Morris, who is providing the vaccine.
The shots will cost $25 although will be free for patients who have Medicare and Medicaid, she said.
Cyndee Kiger, the director of nursing for the Marion County Health Department, will be helping out with the clinic. She had hoped to hold a vaccine clinic within the next week, but delays in shipments to the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health has prevented that office from getting the shots to the county health departments.
