FAIRMONT — Monongalia County deputies are searching for a woman they believe may be from the area and involved in a theft this spring.

Two women are believed to have have stolen more than $200 worth of liquor from a Cheat Lake convenience store this April, First Sgt. W.A. Tennant of the Mon County Sheriff’s Department said.

One woman, Tonisha Woods, 30, of Fairmont has already been questioned in the incident. But the second woman, whom police believe conspired with Woods to steal at least five bottles of liquor from the BFS store off Exit 7 of Interstate 68, has not been identified.

The case remains under investigation, and Tennant said charges will be pressed against both woman once the second one is identified.
