Officials in Barrackville and Rivesville recently had their monthly council meetings, and for both, water projects were key concerns.
In Rivesville, they’ve been working on installing new water lines for about a year now. According to Mayor Jim Hershman, the project is basically finished.
“All the old water lines on the project are out of service, and all the new lines are in service,” he said.
That’s not to say there won’t be issues. The maps of where the water lines extend are outdated and inaccurate, Hershman said, and it’s possible that some houses may have been missed during the tie-in process.
