A meeting will take place next Wednesday to allow people to discuss the proposed White Hall municipal fee increase.
During White Hall’s last council meeting on Jan. 28, city officials decided to table an ordinance that would increase municipal fees for residents and commercial property.
This ordinance would have replaced the current ordinance that has a $35 flat rate a month for residential customers. Of that $35, $33 goes to fire protection, $1 to police protection and $1 to construction of a public safety building. For commercial or non-residental customers, the rate is 3.5 cents per square foot.
