Some history is written in books. Some is buried deep underground.
And sometimes, history is found in the archives of the Fairmont Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club presented a postcard signed by John F. Kennedy and dated November 1962 to the Marion County Historical Society Thursday afternoon for display in the museum on Adams Street in Fairmont.
“I’m really excited about having this,” said Historical Society President Dora Kay Grubb. “I was here when President Kennedy was here on his campaign and had the opportunity to meet him.
