WHITE HALL —
Valley Volunteer Fire Department and the West Virginia State Police responded Thursday evening to a bizarre accident that left traffic on I-79 snarled.
According to Valley Assistant Chief Fred McDonald, someone dropped an unknown number of wooden pallets on the road near mile marker 132 on I-79 South. How they ended up on the road and what kind of vehicle they fell off is still under investigation.
The incident was toned just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
