FAIRMONT —
As the Nov. 6 election approaches, the Marion County Citizens for the Bond Committee is focused on moving forward and sharing the facts with voters.
Committee members gathered Wednesday evening at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce’s office in downtown Fairmont to continue planning ways to market the proposed school bond to people in the county.
The bond election will take place along with the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The proposed $10 million bond, which will run for 10 years, will include the construction of a competition gymnasium and expansion of the cafeteria and commons areas at North Marion High School.

Hearing set for murder suspects
The two men indicted in the 1974 triple Windmill Park murders will share a pretrial hearing on June 25.
According to records obtained at the Marion County Circuit Court, a hearing for Eddie Jack Washington and Phillip Reese Bush is set for 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in front of Circuit Judge Michael Aloi. -
