Officials: Vehicle is hit by a shot

Two occupants are treated and released by MCRS personnel

FAIRMONT — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia State Police are investigating an incident where a vehicle was hit by a shot on East Grafton Road Friday evening.

According to the Marion County 911 dispatch, the incident was toned at approximately 8:36 p.m. Officials say that the vehicle, a red Mercury Tracer, was shot at least once, with a bullet hole visible on the rear passenger’s side door.

The exact whereabouts of the incident have not been made public.
