It’ll be more than two months before the Relay for Life in Mannington comes. Even longer before Fairmont’s Relay for Life.

The Relay for Life of Marion County, which will be hosted at the Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College campus June 7, had its kick-off event Saturday at the Central United Methodist Church in Fairmont.
It’s later in the year than usual, said organizer Susie Kniceley.
“With the weather and different restraints, we were a little late this year,” she said, adding that they’d planned to get under way in January but were thwarted by the snow.
