Rosemary Phillips enjoyed her 27 years in Marion County Schools

FAIRMONT — Rosemary Phillips taught in Marion County schools for 27 years.

“That’s 27 years of being a teacher. It’s not that long if you enjoy what you are doing,” she says.



Four in kindergarten

“I had four of my grandchildren in kindergarten,” she says.

She noted that when she applied to be a teacher, “Jean Hinzman had me become a consultant. I went to Mannington  and worked with three Title I reading teachers. That was really an experience.”

Phillips said she really enjoyed the last 11 years she taught.
