FAIRMONT —
Two different parties are interested in taking over the old Miller Junior High School in Fairmont.
Brian Curry with Faith Church International would like to transform the facility into a community family center that reaches out to youth. Bill Dotson with the Housing Development Corp. wants to create affordable housing for the elderly at the site.
Marion County Superintendent of Schools Gary Price said both parties are moving forward on their proposals and seeking funding. Each made an official inquiry in front of the board of education and expressed their interest in the property, and went back to the board with additional information to show they’re serious.

New after-school project pursued

Two ejected in Route 250 accident
