FAIRMONT —
A Fairmont man was arrested Sept. 19 on felony nighttime burglary and kidnapping charges.
According to the criminal complaint filed at the Marion County Magistrate Court, 31-year-old Timothy W. Biggs of 448 Leonard Ave., Fairmont, at around 3 a.m. Sept. 18 allegedly broke into a residence in Fairmont and assaulted an individual there by hitting him in the face, holding a knife to him and threatening to stab him.
Biggs then allegedly told the victim to drive him to Clarksburg, which he did. He drove Biggs back to Fairmont, with Biggs allegedly wanting to return to the victim’s residence. The victim refused and Biggs allegedly told him to drive to another location. He allegedly struck the victim a second time and took his car keys. Biggs allegedly said he was going to 448 Leonard Ave. to get a gun, “come back and shoot him.”
With the permission of the owner, city police searched the residence and found the knife used in the incident. Biggs was not there and the owner of the residence allegedly received several texts from Biggs asking “are the cops still there.” The phone and knife were taken as evidence.
He is being held at the North Central Regional Jail without bond.
• A Parkersburg man was arrested by Marion County Sheriff's Deputies and charged with first-degree robbery and malicious assault, both felonies.
