Wyatt man charged with grand larceny

FAIRMONT — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department had a busy weekend, with several arrests on charges from grand larceny to child abuse.

On Saturday, deputies arrested Charles Earl Jones Jr., 56, of Wyatt, on charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny. According to the criminal complaints, Jones was seen on camera tampering “a four-wheeler and a generator belonging to XTO Energy.”

Deputies allegedly arrived at the scene to witness Jones fleeing. After the area was cleared, he reportedly came back and removed a generator and a battery from a locked building, whose door he allegedly forced open.
