Fairmont man among 11 sentenced

FAIRMONT — A Marion County resident was among 11 who were sentenced during October for federal supervised release violations, announced U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II with the Office of the U.S. Attorney Northern District of West Virginia.

Unless otherwise noted, all were remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service pending designation to federal institutions.

Richard Dobbs, 45, of Fairmont, was sentenced to 14 months’ imprisonment to be followed by 58 months of supervised release for unlawful use and possession of controlled substances, failure to report for drug testing, use and possession of alcohol, and conviction for criminal misdemeanor offense in Marion County Magistrate Court for possession of marijuana.
