FAIRMONT —
Lockheed Martin Corp., a global security and aerospace company, on Monday announced a partnership with Fairmont State University and presented the institution’s Open Source Intelligence Exchange (OSIX) program with a $15,000 grant.
“Our campus community will benefit greatly from this partnership, and it provides a lot of possibilities for future employment, internships, mentoring, research and special guest lectures,” Dr. Maria Rose, president of FSU, said.
The grant will be added to contributions from numerous other donors, including Consol Energy, that the university has received over the past two years as it strives to reach a $100,000 goal that will be matched by the West Virginia Research Trust Fund’s “Bucks for Brains” grant, which supports the OSIX program.
