FAIRMONT — Sen. Joe Manchin paused in his busy schedule to share some “Coffee and Common Sense” with fellow Marion Countians Friday.
He had some things to address ... such as the national debt, energy and industry, health care and the military. But he also wanted the audience to tell him their concerns.
And Leslie Clark did.
The accounting and business teacher at East Fairmont High School is concerned about whether there will be enough money in Social Security to help her students when they’re ready for it.
“There is a major concern over Social Security and how it will be funded in the future and how to balance the age with the benefits,” she said after the lunch meeting was over.
