FAIRMONT —
Trustworthy. Loyal. Helpful. Friendly. Courteous. Kind. Obedient. Cheerful. Thrifty. Brave. Clean. Reverent.
These twelve words make up the “Scout Law,” a code of values guiding the Boy Scouts of America. A United Way of Marion County member agency, the Boy Scouts quietly put in thousands of hours volunteering to make their county a better place.
“We are an agency that helps prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling values and living by the Scout Oath and Law,” said Mountaineer Area Council Scout Executive Dan Wagner.
The Mountaineer Area Council organizes the Boy Scouts in Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Taylor counties.
