MANNINGTON —
Lunch is the last thing on many students’ minds at Mannington Middle School these days.
Outside of the cafeteria is a large bulletin board, listing random acts of kindness that a student has completed.
“It makes you think of how things can change in your life and how if one person does something good, it can just lead to another person and another person,” seventh-grader Savannah Carter said.
With this board, which was inspired by something instructor Stacy Hays had seen on Twitter, it’s created a trickle effect that is inspiring students throughout the school to take a minute or two out of their day and think of someone else. Some notes were simple acts of kindness, such as giving someone a pencil or smiling at someone.
