FAIRMONT —
Following a month long break from classes, homework and tests, students at Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College will officially resume classes for the spring semester on Monday.
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at FSU, Dr. Christina Lavorata, said that the time off should have left students feeling rejuvenated for a new and productive semester.
“It lets them reconnect with their families and enjoy the holidays,” she said. “But I think some of them were probably ready to come back to school a little sooner. After a while, you’re just ready to get moving again.”
Lavorata said that faculty reported back to work last week and used the time for professional development.
