FAIRMONT —
Several local towns are gearing up for their municipal elections.
Candidate filing periods begin Monday in Fairview, Farmington, Monongah, Rivesville, White Hall and Worthington.
Filing will continue until Jan. 26 for candidates who want to run in the June 11 election for their respective town. Anyone who is interested in running for an open position must file for candidacy during the filing period.
Potential candidates who file must be 18 years old, live in the town’s limits and be a registered voter.
Heather Tuttle, recorder for the Town of Fairview, said positions open for Fairview are mayor, recorder and five council seats. She said all positions are two-year terms.
