FAIRMONT —
The Fairmont Marion County Transit Authority offers bus routes to and from Morgantown for residents who either need a method of transportation or are simply looking to reduce the number of miles they put on their vehicles, save on gas money or avoid parking hassles.
“We’re just always looking for ways to help the citizens of Marion County,” George Levitsky, general manager of the transit authority, said.
The transit authority, which is celebrating its 40th year of service this year, has offered similar bus routes for a number of years, but it has only expanded its service to Morgantown to five days a week for the past year. Levitsky said that a number of residents take advantage of the service for a variety of purposes.
