FAIRMONT —
The Marion County Habitat for Humanity held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday afternoon for its 11th house, which will be built on property along McClure Street in Fairmont.
Teri Dalton, executive director for MCHH, said this particular house is called “The Rescue Build” because the agency is partnering with first responders to build the house.
“We have Marion County volunteer fire departments on board,” she said. “We’re hoping to get more departments on board with it.”
The house is also part of a statewide celebration. Habitat for Humanity has been in West Virginia for 25 years so the state is celebrating by building 25 houses in the 25 counties in which Habitat for Humanity exists.
