FAIRMONT — A city man was arrested on warrants for attempted murder and wanton endangerment, both felonies, according to a spokesman from the U.S. Marshal Service.
Supervisory Deputy US Marshall Alex Neville said Dennis Terrell Evans Jr., 21, of Fairmont, was arrested at about noon Friday without incident.
Police said after midnight on Sept. 9 at the corner or Spring Street and Westlawn Avenue, Evans exited a vehicle where he was a passenger and fired shots at someone, whose name police have not released to the media. The caller identified Evans as police arrived. Fairmont police had been searching for Evans since that time.
Neville said Fairmont police requested the U.S. Marshal Service’s assistance in tracking down Evans Thursday.
