MANNINGTON — Though it’s been October for a solid week, Saturday was the first day that really felt like fall. The air was crisp, but not too cold; the sun was still shining, but not too warm.
You really couldn’t pick a nicer day to celebrate Octoberfest. Though the morning was a little rainy, the people of Mannington came together to enjoy a beautiful day, support local crafters and just enjoy each other’s company.
“I just love seeing what people have made,” said Janet Garner, who has been one of the event’s primary organizers for the past 18 years. She said that, in her opinion, the festival has become one of the best craft shows in North Central West Virginia.
