FAIRMONT — Kimberly Kay Gregory, a 45-year-old Fairmont resident found unconscious and badly beaten in a Monongalia County parking lot in late January, has died.
Gregory was found lying by a stairwell on Chestnut Ridge Road at around 3 a.m. on Jan. 19 following an anonymous call from a nearby pay phone. She appeared to be the victim of an assault and was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Gregory’s sister, who lives out of state, identified her the day after she was admitted into the hospital.
Gregory remained in the hospital for 10 days before she was officially pronounced dead on Jan. 29.
