FAIRMONT — A year ago, Robert Tinnell was making plans to shoot a movie about his Marion County family’s traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes celebration — in Pennsylvania.
Now, thanks to tax credits made available by the Legislature, Tinnell is now casting for a film, “Feast of the Seven Fishes,” that will be shot in Follansbee in the Northern Panhandle.
It’s still not Rivesville, where the action of the film — hearkening back to Tinnell’s childhood Christmas Eves when family would gather and cook several types of fish — but it still will be in West Virginia.
“It’s thanks to the tax credit,” Tinnell said. “That was a huge incentive. The governor came out strong and made sure it works. It’s a smart credit.”
