Jo Marie Pitrolo balances work at law firm and dealership

FAIRMONT — Jo Marie Pitrolo always knew she would end up at her father’s dealership, Anthony Chevrolet in Fairmont. But that did not mean she would take the easy route and take advantage of her dad being the boss.

Instead, she decided early on that she would become an attorney in order to help out with the legal matters at the business founded by her father, Anthony Pitrolo. She also wound up having two full-time careers, something she still does today as an attorney at Higinbotham & Higinbotham and as the dealer at Anthony Chevrolet.

“We had a family business for many years, and there are just a lot of issues that arise around that, whether it’s contract negotiations or just trying to be correct in business and do the right things,” Pitrolo said. “It was helpful to have a law background and a diverse background in many areas.”
