FAIRMONT — The North Marion girls’ basketball team certainly knows how to win. The Huskies know how to celebrate, too.
Finally back home in Rachel after capturing a second straight state title the night before, North received a champion’s welcome with a parade and reception held in its honor Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies capped a stellar state tournament run with a 58-45 victory over South Charleston in Saturday’s Class AAA title game. They also closed an unforgettable — and dominating — season with an 18-game winning streak, a 24-1 record and a perfect mark against in-state opponents.
